Abrasion equipment according to EN388:2016 This equipment is used to determine the abrasion resistance of all types of gloves. The equipment consists of a table with 9 trays, on which the test samples are placed. The samples are rubbed against known abrasives at low pressure and in continuously changing directions.Abrasion resistance is measured by the number of cycles required for the sample to break.

COUP TEST

Cutting equipment according to EN388:2016. The "COUP TEST" cutting equipment subjects the samples to:

• Constant mass (5N approximately 510g).
• Cutting by circular blade rotating in the opposite direction to the feed direction.
• Cutting by circular blade rotating in the opposite direction to the feed direction.The parameter measured is the number of cycles (complete round-trip) until the sample breaks or a maximum of 60 cycles is reached.

Cutting equipment according to EN ISO 13997:2022. The TDM team has major differences when compared with the COUP TEST:

1. The test is carried out with different masses
2. The blade is flat and the blade holder is curved.
3. The parameter measured is the travel of the blade until the cut is made.
4. The equipment is essentially a rocker arm.

The booth is designed to filter fumes and vapours released during the handling of chemicals in a laboratory. The vertical filtration booth contains an activated carbon filter at the top. The fan ensures that all vapours are collected in the filter and that there is clean air in the booth. For this purpose, there must always be air recirculation from the inside to the outside of the booth.

Puncture equipment according to EN388:2016 and ISO 20344:2022. This equipment measures the force exerted by a steel punch of specified dimensions to pierce a sample placed in a support device. The travel of the punch is automated and the force applied to achieve the perforation can be set on the equipment.

Compression equipment according to ISO 20344:2022. Compression equipment is used to measure the compressive strength of safety footwear and tests the puncture resistance of steel toecaps.

Tearing equipment according to EN 388:2016 and ISO 20344:2022. Software-controlled automated equipment fitted with grippers that separate to tear the test material apart. It provides the average strength (N) that has to be applied to tear the material.
